I played the Bechstein piano at this eclectic event at Port Eliot on the evening of 16th May. The round room is lovely acoustically and the house is extraordinary when seen by candlelight. St Neot choir, Canoryon Lowen also contributed to the evening.
I’d brought my own light to see my music so unlike other years could make out the dots! I played music that was low key and atmospheric – Satie, Debussy, Schumann (Clara) and eventually some very slow Joplin. It may be the last of these events so there was a certain poignancy to the evening.
